Why We Are Building This

Sailing deserves a global standard

The product is designed for sailing schools, charter instructors, and first-wave skippers who need the same current state across planning, teaching, and review.

Mission

Our mission is to establish a single, transparent culture around sailing — one where every newcomer who steps on a boat receives a structured, safe, and dignified experience, regardless of which captain or school they sailed with.

Vision

In five to ten years, SkipperSync is the single global standard point of contact for every captain practicing the learning process, organising charters, or hosting regattas worldwide. Not the biggest app. The most trusted one.

Charter coordination is broken

Every captain knows the feeling. Crew chasing, paperwork scattered, no shared tools — and a first sailing experience that could have been extraordinary.

Problem 01

No structure for teaching at scale

I'm a great sailor. But being a great sailor doesn't make me a teacher, an entertainer, and an accountant at the same time.

No structured way to assign learning materials, track quiz results, or sign off on practical skills. Every captain reinvents the wheel with paper and verbal instructions — every time.

Problem 02

No visibility across your own school

I have eight captains and I genuinely have no idea what any of their students are experiencing or learning after the course.

Student progress, charter outcomes, and skill sign-offs are trapped in individual captain notes — if they exist at all. Schools are flying blind.

Problem 03

The first impression is chaos

I know how to sail. Explaining it to six friends who've never been on a boat while also navigating — that's the hard part.

A disorganised onboarding experience destroys the trip before it starts. Crew arrive at the marina unprepared, anxious, and without context — and the skipper spends the first day on logistics, not sailing.

Built for both audiences

The same charter, seen from each side of the deck.

01

Run each charter with the same clarity you teach with.

Skipper Sync gives instructors one operating layer for charter setup, learning material distribution, skill tracking, and debrief quality.

  • Prepare routes, roles, and teaching materials together.
  • Track drills and observations per skipper instead of across scattered notes.
  • Leave ratings that still make sense when planning the next trip.
02

See real progress instead of relying on memory.

Newcomer skippers get a precise view of what is already learned, what is still unstable, and what the next charter requires.

  • Access learning materials and charter preparation in one record.
  • Follow feedback, unfinished drills, and strengths over time.
  • Arrive for each trip with a clearer sense of what to practice next.
